I used to be a software engineer at PayPal. Stable job, good salary, zero joy.
Then one weekend I was watching Friends and got a little too curious about Rachel Green's career. One Google search later I had signed up for India's only Image Consulting certification — and suddenly my weekends were the best part of my week.
Funny how that works.
Since then I've interned with an established consultant in Hyderabad, done corporate trainings, survived Covid by reorganising every friend's wardrobe I could get my hands on (my mom's saree closet has never recovered — in the best way), led styling at Evereve and Short Story in the US, and am now building something of my own.
Here's what I actually believe:
Everyone has a style. Most people just don't know their body well enough to trust it yet. I grew up being told to adjust — that clothes would never really fit right on me. I believed that for years. Until I felt the right fit for the first time and realised how much I'd been settling.
I don't want that for anyone.
Great style isn't about big brands or big budgets. It's about understanding yourself — and knowing what to look for.
